What do we value?

1. Gratitude

We are deeply thankful for all that Jesus has done for us on the cross which sets us free with the power of his resurrection. We want to live this out in a spirit of gratitude, learning to walk in the truth with others as we follow Jesus. We want to build up one another in love by regularly noticing and expressing our gratitude for all that we have been given.

2. Generosity

We pray to be generous and visible people of Jesus Christ setting aside the best of our time, talent, and treasure to bless God’s church in Chatteris and beyond. We also want to be kind and generous in the way we think and speak about others whether they agree or disagree with us, while also clearly communicating what we believe and why we believe it.

3. Goodwill

Christian faith has always been for the greater good of others so we want to work with everyone who share these values in open, mutually accountable friendship, while also acknowledging and honouring differences.  Through our outreach work with Children and Families, Home for Good, Elderly care, the Food Bank, Chatteris Resettlement Hub, Arts with God, Concerts, Parish Nursing, and schools work, we want to see our whole town to thrive with health and wholeness. We want to see Fenland flourish for the common good.

4. Grace

We want to nurture a safe and racially diverse worshiping community. Everyone regardless of age or background is welcome, accepted, in need of unmerited favour and forgiveness. Some are physically and mentally well while others are not. We are therefore a learning community finding creative ways to bring out the best in one another. We believe that this is begins by learning to receive, for ourselves, more of God's amazing grace. We can’t give away what we haven’t received.

How can I Make a gift ?

When you give to the church, you are making a difference to the lives of people in our town. Your giving enables the church to better serve our community through offering pastoral care, funding our Parish Nurse, the Food Bank, being able to train, setting up and hosting community events, enabling school visits, and much more. What you may not know is that we receive no government support and solely depend on people’s generosity. If you feel that you could make a one-time donation, we would be so grateful and it will make a huge difference.

Our Development Action Planning includes five areas:

1. Nurture confidence in God by deepening our commitment to Christ

2. Grow a healthy church where every member is a minister

3. Support the well-being of Chatteris by offering family support, the Food Bank, and parish nursing

4. Re-imagine our building to be a flexible space for the wider community

5. Target areas for future development
