Is there more to life than this?

We can't convince you. All we can do is share that we have found so much more.

We have discovered that the words of Jesus are true when he says:

'I have come in order to give you life to the full. " (John 10.10).

Our lives are being transformed from the inside out as we learn to trust more in Jesus.

Is there more to life than this?

We invite you to explore the question for yourself.

“The unexplored life is not worth living!”   -  Plato

"Is it a bit like poetry?

Difficult to pin down?

Or, is it more like a conversation?"

Something shared / Something grasped / Something understood?

One thing is for sure; God is not a slot machine.

God is person.

When we pray, some one is listening. Someone who understands.

Sadly, deep down many people think that God is not that nice, he does not like us very much and he spends most of his time being cross with us. This could not be further from the truth.

Like a match strike, prayer can set events in motion that I have not yet imagined.

And so we pray, using the words that Jesus taught us...

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.

Intentional HEalth Program

How does it work?

1. Attend an Intentional Health programme in your local community.
Do you want to find out more about how to take care of your own health? Come along and join us in the Bricstan Hall. Our friendly group is accessible to people of all faiths and none. The program is led by our Parish Nurse and she works with a team of welcoming volunteers. Everyone is welcome to join the program. There is a £25.00 booking fee to cover materials. If this is a problem we have sponsored places available also. There is no excuse. We would love to see you.

2. Explore health and wellbeing in a safe & supportive environment.
Our ten week programme includes aspects of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health - and plenty of fun too. Groups are kept small to provide a safe place for you to explore health and wellbeing from a uniquely whole-person perspective.

3. Live Life Well
Your life will be transformed as you learn how to make simple, sustainable choices and create some life-giving habits along the way. Living well will become a healthier and lasting way of life.

Connect Groups and BIble Reading

The Bible actively works in our lives when we read it; allow it to shape our thinking and give us a sense of purpose. Let us know if you would like to know how to get the most from your Bible by joining one of our Connect Groups. Many use the "Bible in one year" app on our phones. It is easy to install and it is free. It is great to know that others in town are using it too! The app gives a selection of three Bible readings for each day with commentary by Nicky and Pippa Gumble.  Many of us have found that the daily audio commentary is easy to listen to and practical for real life.  You can download it free from the App Store or from google play.

Whatever your age, there is always more to learn.  Everyone is encouraged to keep exploring. Short courses are a great place to connect with others, deepen your understanding, and receive specialised training for ministry. There are no tests and many courses are free. There is something for everyone. If you have already tried Alpha, you will want to deepen your understanding of the Bible and how to live it out.
