Bereavement & Loss

When someone close to us dies many difficult emotions and feelings can be experienced. Grief and grieving is our response to this loss and we may feel overwhelmed and isolated at this time. It may be immediate or it may hit us months or years later.  At times like this, it is important that we have someone we can turn to; someone who can provide a listening ear.

77eef8a8cbde8890220c0f93.jpgA Bereavement Support Group can offer a safe place to be with others who will understand what you are going through. The group at the Parish Church is led by Sarah Boon, a member of our Pastoral Care Team and a trained nurse.

The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 2:00 pm in the Bricstan Hall. Everyone is most welcome.  If you feel unsure about coming the first time, please ring up a member of the clergy or ring up Sarah 694423 and we can arrange for someone to call on you.

The group is warm and inviting. Sarah leads the group in a 'thought for the day' and prayers to the God of all Comfort with the lighting of a candle. People with no faith or with faith are welcome. We will provide refreshments and there is no cost to you. Everyone is encouraged to keep in touch for ongoing support if it needed.
